Xtra Time Web Desk: Former Team India captain MS Dhoni on Thursday paid a surprise visit to the Indian dressing room at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) Stadium in Ranchi. Dhoni met the Indian players ahead of the T20I series opener against New Zealand. In a video shared by BCCI on social media handle Twitter, Dhoni could be seen meeting the likes of Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav. It is worth noting that the first T20I is scheduled to take place at MS Dhoni’s home town. The post was captioned, Look who came visiting at training today in Ranchi – the great MS Dhoni!
The two time World Cup winning former India captain was seen having words of advice for off spinner Washington Sundar. He was in a jovial mood as he chatted with the current generation of Indian cricketers. He was also seen having coconut water while talking with the Indian players.
The Indian cricket team arrived in Ranchi on Wednesday. The Men in Blue attained a 3-0 clean sweep against New Zealand in the recently-concluded ODI series.
Hardik Pandya-led T20I team will aim to win the T20 series as well. Suryakumar Yadav has been made India’s vice-captain for the three match T20I series. Surya’s last ton in T20Is came against New Zealand back in November 2022.
