Xtra Time Web Desk: There are predictions of showers for Sunday’s IPL 2023 game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings at the Eden Gardens. There is tremendous hype surrounding the match as it could well be MS Dhoni’s last IPL match in Kolkata.
Meanwhile, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) cricketers on Friday arrived in the city after two consecutive losses against Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in the ongoing IPL 2023 season. Understandably there were not many fans around. Head Coach Chandrakant Pandit was the first to board the Team Coach parked outside the airport gate. Sunil Narine is joined by his family in Delhi. Andre Russell too is accompanied by his wife. The Jamaican was waving at the partisan crowd who were cheering him. But the biggest noise was reserved for Rinku Singh and Venkatesh Iyer. The Knight Riders will train on Saturday evening at the Eden Gardens.
Chennai Super Kings will arrive in Kolkata on Saturday evening. MS Dhoni and his boys will head straight to the team hotel. They will not train, neither they will attend any pre match press conference.
Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has invited Indian women cricketer Richa Ghosh. She will be attending the match with her parents. Richa is also likely to ring the Eden Bell.
