Xtra Time Web Desk: In a recent video posted by Rajasthan Royals in their official social media handles, Jos Butler is seen speaking about the man who had the greatest impact in his batting, in the RR camp. The man is none other than Siddharth Lahiri. Jos Butler is currently having a run as RR opener. He has scored 285 runs with two match winning centuries in 7 matches. There’s no doubt about it that Lahiri had a huge impact in Jos’s batting performance.

But who is Siddharth Lahiri?

The coach playing a crucial part in the England batter’s progress since last year.

A former cricketer who played for DKS, Milan Samity, Anandabazar Sports Club and Customs in CAB's local tournaments. Lahiri is now the director of the Rajasthan Royals Academy in the United Kingdom and also trains players at various age-group levels of English cricket and the England Lions team.

It was in 2003 when a confident Lahiri, then a resident of Behala, arrived in London to get his England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) coaching badges. He did his ECB Level 1 and 2 from Middlesex, and the County recommended his name for Level 3.

Now an Overseas Citizen of India, Lahiri is currently busy with Rajasthan Royals in ongoing IPL 2024. As well as he also served Surrey academy, at the Royals Institute of Sport Excellence at Talegaon in Nagpur. Because his relationship with the players is outstanding.
