Xtra Time Web Desk: India's ace fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, believes that the brief interval between the semi-final and final of the T20 World Cup 2024 might actually benefit the team. With just over 24 hours to transition from their semi-final victory against England in Guyana to the final clash against South Africa in Barbados, Bumrah feels the short turnaround can simplify their approach and aid in quick recovery.

Following a rain-curtailed match against England, the Indian team opted to skip training upon their arrival in Barbados, focusing instead on rest and recovery. Bumrah emphasized that the lack of time to overthink or complicate strategies can be advantageous.

"It is a good thing sometimes when you don't have a lot of time to overplan or confuse yourself or complicate things. So you know, you are straight on the flight, rest and recover and no time to think and no complications," Bumrah told Sanjana Ganesan ahead of the final.

Praising Rohit Sharma's captaincy, Bumrah highlighted how the skipper's proactive and supportive leadership style has been instrumental throughout the tournament.

"Rohit Sharma has been absolutely phenomenal. Even in the previous World Cup, he has been proactive, gives a lot of freedom to his players, and lets the players express themselves. When he feels the right time, he shares his own experience during the match. So, it feels really great and I feel very happy playing under him," Bumrah added.

Despite the positive outlook, weather forecasts pose a potential challenge, with predictions of heavy rain on match day. Weather.com indicates a 70% chance of rain at the scheduled start time of 10:30 am local (8:00 pm IST), with conditions remaining uncertain throughout the day.

While weather conditions remain a concern, India's streamlined approach and mental fortitude could be the key to their success.
