Legendary Australian spinner Shane Warne escapes serious injury after motorbike accident in Melbourne

Xtra Time Web Desk: Legendary Australian leg spinner Shane Warne avoided a serious accident while riding his motorbike on the streets of Melbourne on Sunday. Warne had taken out his Harley Davidson for a ride along with son Jackson but returned with injuries to his hip, foot and ankle as per reports.

The 52-year-old Australian leg spinner didn’t seek immediate treatment and rode back home. But he woke up on Monday morning in severe pain and had to visit a hospital to check if had a fractured any parts of his body.

“I’m a bit battered and bruised and very sore,” Sydney Morning Herald reported Warne.

As per Australian media reports, Warne went down with the 300kg bike and slid for more than 15m while taking out the machine for a ride in Melbourne. Luckily, he avoided any serious injury.

The legendary spinner is expected to do the broadcasting duties for the upcoming Ashes, beginning December 8 at the Gabba.
