Xtra Time Web Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is likely to extend the deadline to submit retained players list ahead of IPL mega auction before the upcoming season. The last date for submitting the list of retained players by the franchises was November 30. But it seems the deadline will be extended by a week due to delay in completion of paperwork for Ahmedabad franchise.

CVC Sports, which acquired the Ahmedabad franchise for 5625 crores is yet not given the letter of intent due to alleged links with betting company. This means the IPL team of Ahmedabad doesn’t exist at this stage. BCCI currently is taking legal opinion on the situation.
