Xtra Time Web Desk: Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant has paid tribute to the Indian athletes who competed in the Paris Olympics 2024, where India finished 71st on the medal tally with a commendable six medals—one silver and five bronze. This marks India’s third-best performance in Olympic history.

Pant honored the athletes by sharing a special video montage on X, featuring highlights of the Indian contingent's performances and a patriotic soundtrack, "Maa Tujhe Salaam." In his message, Pant acknowledged the hard work and sacrifices made by the athletes. "As an athlete myself, I understand the challenges and dedication required to represent our nation at the highest level. Congratulations to all the winners and participants. Jai Hind," he wrote.

India’s medal campaign began with Manu Bhaker, who won bronze in the 10m air pistol event, breaking a 12-year dry spell for the country in shooting. Bhaker added a second bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team event with Sarabjot Singh, becoming the first Indian since independence to win two medals in a single Olympic Games. Swapnil Kusale contributed a bronze in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions, while the men’s hockey team secured bronze with a 2-1 victory over Spain.
