Already suspended by BCCI once, Harshit Rana brings back flying kiss celebration, video gone viral
Xtra Time Web Desk: Harshit Rana's iconic flying kiss celebration made a return on Day 1 of the Duleep Trophy. His infamous send-off has been the talking point since IPL 2024 and Harshit brought it back again. Harshit, while playing for India D, got the wicket of India C captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. During the 7th over of India C's first innings, Harshit bowled a short of length delivery outside the stumps and Gaikwad edged it only to be caught at the slips. India D erupted in celebrations and Harshit Rana gave his infamous 'flying kiss' gesture. However, this time it was not directed towards the batter he dismissed but to the dressing room.
However, unlike the incident in IPL earlier this year, Harshit's celebration was not aimed at the batter, but rather at the dressing room.

Why is the flying kiss controversial?
Harshit Rana had made headlines in IPL 2024 when he had aimed a flying kiss at Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Mayank Agarwal after dismissing him. First handed 10 per cent and 50 per cent fines, Harshit was fined his entire match fees and handed a one-match ban after another 'offence' later in the season against Delhi Capitals.
On that occasion, Harshit had instinctively appeared to blow a flying kiss, but had stopped midway after possibly realising the consequences.

Famously, KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan, along with the entire KKR team, performed a flying kiss with Harshit after the team won IPL 2024, coincidentally against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
