Xtra Time Web Desk: ATK Mohun Bagan on Thursday officially launched their home jersey for the upcoming Hero Indian Super League (ISL 2020-21) season. The jersey will have the iconic green and maroon colours, which has been synonymous with the century old club.
The ATK Mohun Bagan players will primarily sport the iconic green and maroon jerseys for their home matches. The green and maroon jerseys are a celebration of the rich footballing culture and tradition of the passionate Mariners.
Ever since ATK and Mohun Bagan merged earlier this year, speculation regarding the colours of the kit and logo of the team followed. However, the management seems to have listened to the demands of the fans and have retained the colours for the upcoming season.
The players’ jerseys this season will also carry a ‘Champions’ mark below the team logo. It is in honour of the two victorious clubs and their triumphs last season in their respective leagues viz – I League and ISL.
ATK Mohun Bagan also announced that the club are set to build a world-class football academy in Kolkata to provide young and talented players from the state an opportunity to perform at the highest level.

Mohun Bagan has been close to my heart since childhood. I have had the honour to watch the Green and Maroon play some of their best football. We respect the legacy and have retained the same jersey which generations down the line have embraced, adored and loved. My dream is to establish ATK Mohun Bagan as a world-class team which earns its place in the international circuit,” said principal owner Dr. Sanjiv Goenka
