Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian team led by Virat Kohli reached Sydney on Thursday afternoon (local time 3 pm) to play the series against Australia. The Indian cricketers will now quarantine themselves at the hotel for the next 14 days although they will be allowed to train under bio bubble atmosphere. The Indian players and support staffs were without their PPE kits as they came out of the airport. They were seen with the specially designed PPE Kit before their departure from Dubai. All the members of the contingent were with masks and gloves.

First person to come out of the airport was Head Coach Ravi Shastri. He was seen waving his hands at the handful of Indian fans who were at the airport to take a glimpse of their favorite cricketers. Captain Virat Kohli was seen coming out of the airport with Deepak Chahar. Few senior cricketers like Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin were with their families.

There were tight security arrangements at the Sydney International airport. The entire airport was cordoned off for the Indian and Australian cricketers playing in the recently concluded IPL to arrive. As many as four coaches were being arranged for the jumbo Indian contingent.

There have been a lot of discussions on whether the Indian team can be allowed to start training in Australia even though the quarantine period cannot be relaxed with an eye on the coronavirus pandemic. And in what comes as good news for Virat Kohli and boys, they can hit the ground running after one round of COVID-19 test after reaching Australia.
