Xtra Time Web Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)announced the full schedule of the Indian Premier League 2024 on Monday, 25 March. The official broadcaster of the tournament in India – Star Sports revealed that the final of the tournament will be played on May 26 at the MA Chidambaram stadium, Chennai. This means that the players will have just 5 days in their hands before the start of the T20 World Cup 2024, set to be held in the United States of America and the Caribbean islands.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the scheduled for the T20 World Cup 2024, which is set to be a historic event as this will be the first time that an ICC World Cup tournament will feature matches played in the United States. It will be co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States of America from June 1 to June 29, 2024. USA will be up against Canada in the first match of the tournament. 55 matches will be played across 9 venues in the tournament.

The Indian team will have a delayed start to their campaign compared to other teams, as they will commence their matches later. Their first match against Ireland is scheduled for June 5 in New York, where all their group stage matches will take place. However, the highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan on June 9 has attracted significant attention. This intense encounter is set to be the second group stage match for both teams, and it will be held in a specially built temporary stadium in New York.
