Jharkhand : India U-19 cricketer Ishan Kishan was arrested by Patna Police on Tuesday for alleged reckless driving .
Kishan reportedly rammed his speeding car into an auto-rickshaw injuring the passengers inside . The 17 year old Ishan was driving his father’s car. After the accident, Kishan got into a fight and was beaten up until some onlookers called the police to settle the issue. The police arrested Kishan and others who were involved in the fight. They also seized his car.
Ishan was supposed to lead the India U 19 World Cup squad in Bangladesh starting from January 22. He had accumulated 736 runs from 10 matches in the Ranji Trophy at an average of 40.88, which included one hundred and five half-centuries. This incident comes as a big blow to India’s U 19 World Cup plans.
Meanwhile ,Patna Police on Wednesday denied reports that India’s Under-19 cricket captain Ishan Kishan was arrested after his over-speeding car hit an autorickshaw in a Kankarbagh area here on Tuesday.
