Kolkata : East Bengal club have further strengthened their squad for the Hero I League by signing Narayan Das from Dempo SC .The national team defender will no doubt lend solidity to the defence which also boasts of French International Bernard Mendy , Nigerian Bello Rassaq and Narayan’s partner in Indian team Arnab Mondal .
The defender has last played for ISL franchise FC Goa before plying his trade for Pailan Arrows and Dempo SC .
“Dempo have agreed to release Narayan Das to play for us . The agreement is for three years .” confirmed an East Bengal official .
Other transfer news include Thonkhosiem Haokip who was in the news after scoring a hat-trick for FC Goa has been signed by Salgaopcar FC.
Haokip previously has been linked with East Bengal and Mohun Bagan but the Goan club managed to secure his service. With Pune FC withdrawing their name from the I-league Haokip was free to join any other clubs.
Sporting Clube de Goa who was defeated by East Bengal in their opening match have roped in Mehrajuddin Wadoo and Denson Devadas . Mehraj was influential in Chennayin’s title triumph this year. Denson has appeared for FC Goa in this year’s ISL. SCG also have acquired the services of forward Baljit Singh Sahni who appeared for Atletico de Kolkata last season .
