IND vs SL: Empty bullets found in Sri Lanka’s Team Bus

Xtra Time Web Desk: Just before the start of twp-Test series against India, there was a huge security scare. Police found empty bullet shells from Sri Lanka’s team bus in Mohali. The police have lodged an FIR and are questioning the bus driver in the case.

On Saturday, just before the team was leaving for practice at the PCA Stadium in Mohali, the Chandigarh police found two empty bullet shells from the luggage compartment of the bus. The bus was set to carry the Sri Lankan team from the Lalit hotel near IT Park to PCA stadium ahead of the 1st Test from March 4.

As per an Indian Express report, the bus was hired from Tara Brothers, a local private transporter. The police are questioning the bus driver.

“Two empty bullet shells were found during the routine frisking of the bus through the metal detector and other sophisticated gadgets. The shells were found in the luggage compartment of the bus. Before ferrying the cricketers, the bus was used for a marriage function a few days back. The bus driver is being questioned,” Indian Express quoted a police officer investigating the case.
