Mbappe, who finally joined the Spanish giants after a stretched-out transfer saga of more than two years offered his tribute to legendary Cristiano Ronaldo during the presentation ceremony.

A quick-witted Mbappe studied footage from Cristiano Ronaldo's presentation ceremony from 2009 and decided to recreate his iconic 'uno, dos, tres, Hala Madrid!' moment from 2009.

Fans on social media were quick to spot similarities between the announcement of two iconic players and celebrated in joy as one of the best players in the world joins LaLiga ahead of 2024/25 season.

The French captain gave an emotional speech after joining the club and thanked the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez for making the move possible. Mbappe said that for many years, he had dreamt of playing for the club and he is glad that it is finally turned into reality. Mbappe's family was emotional during the ceremony as well, with his mother in tears during his first speech to the fans.

“My dream came true today. I’m happy, I’m really happy. It feels incredible to be here. I’ve slept many years dreaming of Real Madrid and now"æ it’s reality,” Mbappe said.

“I see my mom in tears, it’s an incredible day for me. Let me say thanks to Florentino Perez,” Mbappe further added.

According to reports, Mbappe has signed a five-year-contract with the Spanish giants and is expected to be unveiled in front of the Santiago Bernabeu ahead of his national team duties for the upcoming Euro 2024. The valuation of Mbappe's contract at Real Madrid is said to be around 15 million euros (16.2 million USD) a year after taxes.
