Xtra Time Web Desk: Ravichandran Ashwin delivered a powerful performance for the Dindigul Dragons in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) against the Chepauk Super Gillies on July 14 in Coimbatore. In a rain-affected match reduced to seven overs per side, Ashwin opened the batting and scored a quickfire 45 off 25 balls. Despite Dindigul's poor start at 3 for 3 in the second over, Ashwin's aggressive play, including four sixes and three boundaries, helped them reach 64 for 6.

Having struggled in previous matches, scoring just 5 and 6 against Trichy and Salem, Ashwin found his form at the top of the order. He is focusing on his batting in the TNPL as he prepares for upcoming international duties, notably the home Test series against Bangladesh in September. The first Test is scheduled to be played in Chennai.
