Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian senior football team will be allowed to train in Qatar for two weeks before the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in Doha on June 03. The players will assemble in Delhi and will depart for Doha on May 20. It is mandatory for all the travelling members to produce a COVID-19 negative report before arriving at the capital. They will undergo a second COVID-19 test in Delhi. Only the members who results come negative will be allowed to travel.

The Qatar government has barred the quarantine stage for the Indian football team, giving it a time of roughly two weeks to prepare before the World Cup/Asian Cup qualifying match on June 3 in Doha.

After obtaining the required permission from the host nation, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has urged the squad selected by national coach Igor Stimac to meet in Delhi and undergo the process of COVID-19 testing.

Sunil Chhetri and his boys will play its remaining three matches against Qatar (June 3), Bangladesh (June 7), and Afghanistan (June 15).

Qatar was picked by the Asian Football Confederation in March as the centralized venue to host the remaining Group E matches owing to the coronavirus-related travel and quarantine restrictions.
