Durand Cup 2023: Emami East Bengal can meet Mohun Bagan Supergiant again if they reach the final

Xtra Time Web Desk: There is a possibility of a repeat of Kolkata derby in the ongoing Durand Cup 2023 tournament. The two Kolkata giants – Emami East Bengal and Mohun Bagan Supergiant can face-off if they reach the final to be played on September 03. The organizers on Tuesday released the fixtures for Quarter Final line-ups.

Emami East Bengal, Gokulam Kerala, North East United and Indian Army will compete for a spot in the final from one group while Mohun Bagan Supergiant, Mumbai City, FC Goa and Chennaiyin FC are placed in the other group.

Indian Army will take on North East United in the first quarter final in Guwahati on August 24 while Emami East Bengal and Gokulam Kerala will face each other at the Salt Lake Stadium on August 25. The winner of the two quarter finalists will face each other for a place in the final.

Chennaiyin FC and FC Goa will clash against each other for a spot in the semi-final in Guwahati on August 26 while Mohun Bagan Supergiant will face Mumbai City on August 27.

The two semi-finals will be played on August 29 & 31 respectively in Kolkata. The final will be played at the Vivekananda Yuva Bharat Krirangan on September 4.
