Xtra Time Web Desk: Brazil failed to win their final Group B game in Copa America 2021 as they were held 1-1 by Equador in Goiania on Sunday night.

Eder Militao gave the hosts the lead from a header off a cross from Everton in the 37th minute of the match. Angel Mena equalised for Ecuador with a thumping drive eight minutes into the second half.

With qualification already guaranteed, Brazil coach Tite completely rotated his starting lineup.

The result meant Venezuela, who lost 1-0 to Peru, were knocked out of the tournament as Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru qualified from Group B.

Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay have already guaranteed their place in the last eight from Group A.

The quarter-final matchups will be decided on Monday after the final round of Group A fixtures.
