XtraTime Web Desk – Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, Navdeep Saini and Prithvi Shaw visited a restaurant at Melbourne on New Year’s day. A fan posted a video of them in the restaurant and mentioned in his tweet that he paid their bills and in return Rishabh Pant hugged him. A claim he later denied.

Australian media were bashing Indian players for breaking Covid-19 protocols. BCCI replied to those accusations and called out Australian media. “malicious spin by a section of Australian media” is what a senior board official told PTI.

The official further said, “No, there has been no breach in bio-security protocols. Everyone associated with the Indian team is well aware of the protocols”.

Navaldeep Singh’s post went viral after he posted a thread on Twitter. Australian media used that to claim that Indian players broke the Covid-19 protocol. The official said, “We can only term it as a malicious spin by a section of Australian media and this has started after their humiliating defeat”.
