Babar Azam spends time at golf course while Md Wasim Jr and other Pak cricketers enjoy shopping in Kolkata | CWC2023

Xtra Time Web Desk: The Pakistan cricket team is enjoying their stay in Kolkata during the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Pakistan captain Babar Azam spent some time on the golf course at Royal Calcutta Gold Course in Kolkata along with Head Coach Grant Bradburn and bowling coach Morne Morkel on Tuesday morning. Later in the evening quite a few Pakistani cricketers visited Quest Mall in Park Circus to do some shopping.

Fast bowler Haris Rauf visited a local hospital for a check-up after he complained about pain in his ribs. Rauf will be available for Pakistan’s all-important game against England at the Eden Gardens on Saturday. He had a MRI scan, the reports for which is awaited.

Leg spinner Shadab Khan too is on the road to recovery. His rehab is going well, and he will be further assessed during the training session scheduled for tomorrow. The leg-spinner got injured as he landed awkwardly on his shoulder, hitting his head on the ground during the match against the Proteas.

The Men in Green are scheduled to train on Wednesday from 2 pm at the Eden Gardens.

Pakistan is in the fifth position on the points table and need to beat England on November 11 in Kolkata and hope that Sri Lanka beat the Black Caps in Bengaluru on November 9.

The Men in Green also need Afghanistan to lose one of their remaining two matches against Australia and South Africa.
