Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricketers enjoyed a much needed day-off in Bengaluru on Tuesday. The Men in Blue arrived in the Garden City on Monday, November 6 after registering a comprehensive 243 runs win against South Africa at the Eden Gardens on Sunday. The result saw Rohit Sharma and his boys continuing their winning run in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The Men in Blue has so far registered 8 wins out of 8 and are the only undefeated side in the competition.

The Indian cricketers were given a grand welcome at ITC Gardenia. Local cricketers like KL Rahul, Prasidh Krishna were allowed to visit their family. Head Coach Rahul Dravid also took the opportunity to spend some time with his family.

The Indian team are supposed to train at the M Chinnaswamy stadium from 2 to 5pm on Wednesday but rain might play spoilsport. It has been raining heavily here in Bengaluru for the last few days. Few areas in the city are water logged. There is forecast of 70 percent chances of showers on Wednesday as well.

It will be interesting if the Indian team management prefer to rest a few main players for the final group league game against Netherlands. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj has been playing non-stop since the Asia Cup 2023. It will be a good idea to rest one of them and include Prasidh Krishna or Shardul Thakur. Ishan Kishan is another cricketer who has not got enough opportunities as KL Rahul has been in stupendous form both with the bat and behind the wickets.
