Xtra Time Web Desk: Recently, it has been announced by Mohun Bagan that Juan Ferrando, the head coach of the Green and Maroons, will be taking on an additional responsibility as the head coach of the Senior Team for another year. In a surprising move, Mohun Bagan has also revealed that they have appointed Antonio Lopez Habas, one of the most successful coaches in the Indian Super League (ISL), as the Technical Director. Habas will be seen playing a role as an advisor to various football teams of different divisions within the club and will also oversee the technical aspects.
According to Mohun Bagan Club, they intend to strengthen the youth teams alongside the senior team. They aim to nurture future stars and bring glory to the Mariners. The development team of Mohun Bagan has already begun preparations for the upcoming Kolkata League.
After joining the Mohun Bagan team, Habas stated, “I am honored and happy to think that the club’s President Sanjiv Goenka has chosen me again to work in Kolkata. The best time of my coaching career was spent in Kolkata. The way the football lovers of this city welcomed me was incredible. Now, I am joining as the Technical Director of Mohun Bagan Super Giant. I will work with the management and technical staff to enhance Mohun Bagan’s football strategy and progress.”
