Will Yashasvi open the batting with Rohit as Virat Kohli set to return in 2nd T20I?

Xtra Time Web Desk: Star batter Virat Kohli is all set to return in the playing XI for the second T20I against Afghanistan at the Indore stadium in Indore on Sunday. Kohli is expected to replace Tilak Varma at No 3. There is a possibility of Yashasvi Jaiswal opening with Rohit Sharma. In that case Shubman Gill might have to sit out. Shivam Dube is expected to retain No 4 spot in batting order after his match-winning unbeaten 60* off 40 balls in the first T20I which paved the way for India’s six-wicket victory.

For the second T20I, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal are expected to open, with Virat Kohli at no. 3, replacing Tilak Varma. Shivam Dube, in great form, will bat at no. 4, followed by Jitesh Sharma at no. 5 and Rinku Singh at no. 6. Jitesh Sharma will take on the wicketkeeping duties. All-rounders Axar Patel and Washington Sundar will hold positions at no. 7 and no. 8, sharing spin duties. Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, and Mukesh Kumar will complete the lineup as the other spinner and pacers.

This series is crucial for India as it marks their final T20 series before the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean and the USA in June.
