Yuzuvendra Chahal reveals a funny incident with Rajasthan Royals’ skipper Sanju Samson

Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India leg spinner Yuzuvendra Chahal is turning up to be a livewire for Rajasthan Royals side in the ongoing IPL 2022 season. He has been the star performer for the Rajasthan side along with England opener Jos Buttler. The leg spinner is the leading wicket taker in the ongoing season with 24 wickets.

The 31-year-old has been in superb form in the ongoing IPL season. He has bowled with a lot of variations and made life difficult for the opponent batters. The skinny bowler has also picked up a fifer including a hat-trick in the game against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Recently Chahal narrated a funny story involving Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson during the tour to Australia in 2016. According to Chahal, Samson once landed into trouble as he tried to cook an egg on an electric stove without taking off the plastic cover. Immediately fire alarms started ringing. Samson soon realised his mistake and was fined for it as well.

“In 2016, we were in Australia, we were rooming together in an apartment. Sanju took a frying pan but forgot to take off the plastic cover. He put it on the electric stove and began to try an egg. The fire alarm went off and everyone was wondering what has happened. The fire brigade came and everyone was wondering how the alarm had gone off. Then we realise Sanju had burned the plastic cover of the frying pan,” Chahal told ESPNcricinfo in a video interview.

He added, “We were all laughing, even though we felt bad that he had to pay a fine. Even he was laughing, saying how did this happen? So that’s a moment I remember with him.”
