Yashasvi Jaiswal instructed to leave the field by Ajinkya Rahane for disciplinary reasons | Duleep Trophy final

Xtra Time Web Desk: The fifth day of the Duleep Trophy final between West Zone and South Zone saw a controversial incident unfolding with West Zone captain Ajinkya Rahane instructing teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal to leave the ground because of disciplinary reason.

Jaiswal was warned by the umpires on separate occasions over his sledging towards the West Zone batter T Ravi Teja. The first incident happened during the 50th over of the South Zone innings when Jaiswal and Teja were involved in a heated argument. Seeing the matter getting worse, West Zone captain Ajinkya Rahane had to intervene along with the on-field umpires.

Yashasvi and Teja were once again involved in a heated exchange during the 57th over following which Rahane instructed Jaiswal to leave the field. Yashasvi was visibly upset as he kept murmuring while he left the field.

Yashasvi was eventually called back to the field in the 65th over of the innings. He was also named as the Man of the Match for his brilliant double century (263 runs off 323 balls) in the second innings, which paved the way for a win by West Zone.
