Xtra Time Web Desk: India’s ace table tennis player Manika Batra and Sathiyan Gnansekaran entered the final of the WTT Contender Budapest after defeating the Belarussian pair of Aleksandar Khanin and Daria Trigolos 11-6, 11-5, 11-4 on Thursday.

The Indian pair will now take on Hungary’s Nandor Ecseki and Dora Madarasz, who in their semifinal defeated Russia’s Kirill Skachkov and Olga Vorobeva 11-5, 11-9, 11-8.

Manika Batra was in the midst of controversy for not taking the help of Indian team coach during Tokyo Olympics. She lost in the third round of her singles match in Tokyo Games. But she has been in stupendous form at the WTT Contender in Budapest. The sixth seed defeated compatriot Sreeja Akula in the women's singles to reach the semi-finals on Thursday. She will face Russia's Elizabeth Abraamian in the last four.

Earlier Gnanasekaran lost his singles Rd 16 match to Italian Paddler Niagol Stoyanov.
