World T20: Atkinson Advice for Eden Strip for Finals

Internet Desk: ICC’s pitch consultant Andy Atkinson has suggested the Cricket Association of Bengal officials to leave some grass on the wicket for finals of World T20 which is scheduled to be held on April 03. The curator from New Zealand also made it clear that the strip for the finals cannot be left completely barren. Mr. Atkinson visited the Eden on Tuesday to have a look at the wicket and gave certain instructions to the grounds men. He also suggested that the pitch needs adequate watering ahead of the mega finals.

According to sources , CAB have got the green signal from ICC to present a cultural program featuring Tanushree Shankar’s dance troupe along with a 8 minute fusion by tabla maestro Bikram Ghosh , ayan Ali Khan and Aman Ali Khan. The fusion will depict the cultural heritage of West Bengal.Meanwhile a 5 minute documentary on former ICC president Jagmohan Dalmiya will be screened in between the mens and womens final. The documentary named, “Portrait of a Pioneer” will highlight the administrative career of late Dalmiya.
