World Cup 2023: Adidas make key changes in Team India’s World Cup jersey | Video

Xtra Time Web Desk: Adidas, the official kit sponsor of Team India, has introduced significant changes to the Men in Blue jersey ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, scheduled to commence from October 5. The alterations were revealed just days before the official jersey launch on September 20.

One notable change adheres to ICC guidelines, which prohibit teams from featuring their primary sponsor’s logo on the front of their official jerseys during ICC events. Instead, the Dream11 logo will now be prominently displayed on the arm of the jersey. This move aligns with international cricket regulations.

In a gesture to commemorate this prestigious event taking place in India, Adidas has replaced the traditional three white stripes on the shoulders of the jersey with vibrant tricolor stripes. Additionally, the BCCI logo on the left side of the chest now boasts two stars, signifying India’s two previous ODI World Cup triumphs in cricket history.

The highly anticipated jersey launch was accompanied by a special song titled ‘3 Ka Dream,’ performed by renowned Indian singer Raftaar. The song symbolizes the aspirations of millions of fans who dream of witnessing the Men in Blue clinch their third ODI World Cup title, following their victories in 1983 and 2011.

These changes not only comply with international regulations but also serve as a visual representation of India’s rich cricketing heritage and the team’s pursuit of a third ODI World Cup victory on home soil.
