Will MS Dhoni visit Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai for a knee check-up?

Xtra Time Web Desk: Chennai Super Kings talismanic captain MS Dhoni on Monday led his team to a record fifth IPL title beating Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The 41 years old wicket-keeper batter has been troubled with a knee injury for a long time and played the full season with pain. He was seen putting on a heavy strapping on his left knee during CSK practice. According to a report in RevSportz it is learnt that the inspirational CSK captain may visit the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai for a series of tests later this week.

Dhoni along with his CSK teammates have checked out of the team hotel in Ahmedabad on Tuesday evening. The CSK captain has been accompanied with his wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva, who were also at the VVIP enclosure at the Narendra Modi Stadium to cheer the team.

Dhoni provided a big update on his retirement after winning IPL 2023 title. The 41-year-old CSK skipper said that announcing his retirement will be the “easy thing” but he wants to train for the next nine months and try to play in the next season as a “gift” for his fans.

“Looking for an answer? Circumstantially if you see this is the best time for me to announce retirement. But the amount of love and affection that I have been shown, wherever I have been this year…I think the easy thing for me to say would be to say ‘Thank you very much’, but the tough thing for me would to work hard for nine months and come back and play at least one more season of IPL. But a lot depends on the body. It would take 6-7 months to decide. It will be more like a gift from my side. It’s not easy for me but the way they have shown their lose and affection, that’s something that I need to do,” Dhoni said at the post-match presentation.
