The former India captain was seen rushing to Kokilaben Ambani hospital after coming back from vacation to Maldives with wife Anushka on Monday evening.
The celebrity couple landed in Mumbai on Monday. As they came out of the airport, they were happy to pose for the photographers. Later in the evening the same day, the power couple was seen leaving Kokilaben Hospital.
Kohli has been enjoying his break from cricket. He will be travelling to England with the first batch of Indian squad on June 16. All the players have been asked to assemble in Mumbai on June 15. The players will have to undergo two mandatory RT-PCR tests. One before joining the squad in Mumbai and the other before the day of travel.
It is being assumed that Kohli and Anushka visited the Kokilaben Hospital to get their RT-PCR tests done. The families of the Indian cricketers will be allowed to travel to England.
Kohli, who has been going through an extended run of bad patch will now hope to overcome his wretched run of form, which has seen him not scoring a hundred for close to three years. With Joe Root going through a stupendous form in recent time, scoring two centuries in the ongoing test series against New Zealand, it will definitely motivate Kohli to score big runs like he did during the last tour to England in 2018.
