Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team against Australia for the WTC Final 2023 to be played at the Oval from June 7-11.

Pujara was the vice-captain for the final two test matches against Australia at home. He has been in stupendous form in the County Championships for Sussex, having already scored three hundreds. Pujara has scores of 115, 35, 18, 13, 151, 136 & 77.

It is learnt that the Sourashtra batter will take a break for a few days after his county stint with Sussex before joining the India camp.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to send the players in batches to UK. The support staffs led by Head Coach Rahul Dravid will travel early on May 23. Few players like Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav, Axar Patel and Mukesh Kumar are likely to be on the same flight to London.
