Image Source: twitter[/caption] Internet Desk: Sakshi Malik, the bronze medal winner in wrestling at the Rio Olympics has decided not to drive the BMW car presented to him by legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. The wrestler from Rohtak brought did the nation proud by winning the 58 kg freestyle wrestling bronze at the recently concluded Rio Olympics. The 23-year-old wrestler has received much applause from not only India's leaders but also the common man. Recently Sachin Tendulkar, India's goodwill ambassador at the Rio Olympics presented her with a brand new BMW car. However Sakshi said she's happy driving her blue VW Polo gifted by her father and instead will gift him the luxury car. "He has sacrificed a lot for me," she said. Sakshi, comes from a humble background in Rohtak., Her father works for the Delhi Transport Corporation but attention has not etched that away. Meanwhile the 26 year old wrestler is all set to tie the knot to his long time friend Satyawart Kadian. Satyawart too is an international wrestler hailing from Rohtak. According to Sakshi’s brother Sachin, "It was decided before Sakshi left for Rio Olympics that they will get married." Satyawart also comes from a family of wrestlers. His father Satyawan, was a renowned wrestler himself and runs an akhada in Rohtak. Satyawart posted his congratulatory message on his Facebook page, after Sakshi won the bronze in Rio.He wrote, "My Sweetheart #SakshiMalik? You have made us proud." Felicitations and showers of praises continue to flow to the smiling wrestler. The Haryana government rewarded her Rs 2.5 crore while the Delhi government also made her richer by one crore.
