Why is the break-up between Chennai Super Kings and Ravindra Jadeja inevitable?

Xtra Time Web Desk: Star all rounder Ravindra Jadeja is all set to part ways with Chennai Super Kings. According to reports, the left hander will be listing himself at the IPL trading window to find a new team. As per a report in TOI both Jadeja and CSK management are completely out of touch since the last season of IPL.

The relationship between both parties started to worsen after Jadeja was removed from CSK captaincy. The cricketer from Sourashtra decided to sever all connection with the franchise.

Jadeja also has deleted all his CSK-related posts from his social media accounts.

It is learnt Jadeja’s manager is talking to other franchises for trading offers. As per IPL Norms, franchise list their contracted player on trading window and not the player himself. Until and unless Jadeja is listed on trading window by CSK, he would have to wait.

What made Jadeja so upset with CSK? Jadeja spent 10 years with Chennai Super Kings after being signed in the 2012 auction. During his time in Chennai Super Kings, the franchise won two IPL titles, establishing himself as one of the finest all-rounders in the game.

At the start of last season Jadeja was handed the baton after MS Dhoni decided to step down. However, CSK lost six games in their eight outings under his captaincy. Jadeja’s form also was not great, scoring 111 runs and taking 3 wickets from 8 matches. He decided to relinquish from the post, although insiders in the franchise say he was removed from the post.

Soon after being removed from captaincy, Jadeja was ruled out of the last few games of the season citing a rib injury. The 31 year old left the CSK camp, sparking rumours of a rift with the franchise. Add to that the team unfollowing him on social media, it seemed that the Jadeja chapter in CSK history came to an end.
