Why did Rohit Sharma give a teddy and chocolates to a little girl at the stands in Oval ground?

Xtra Time Web Desk: During Tuesday’s first ODI between India and England at the Oval, a pull shot from Indian captain Rohit Sharma hit a little girl in the stands. The doctor of the England team immediately rushed on into the stands to look over. With nothing serious, the game resumed within a couple of minutes. Later after the match, Rohit presented the little girl a teddy and some chocolates.

What exactly happened? The incident took place in the fifth over of the Indian innings. A pitched-up delivery from England pacer David Willey was pulled by Hitman into the square leg boundary. The ball landed into the stands and hit the little girl watching the game with his father.

The play stopped for a brief span. The England team doctor and the physios were kind enough to go and check out on the young girl. With nothing serious, the game once again commenced as usual.
