Where will Rohit & co train and play practice games during their preparatory camp in Perth? | T20 World Cup 2022

Xtra Time Web Desk: The Men in Blue will be based in Perth ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022. Rohit and his boys will practice at the Western Australia Cricket Association ground which is more famously known as WACA. The reason why the Indian team has selected Perth as the venue for preparatory camp is to get used to the bouncy tracks of WACA. The pitch at the WACA is regarded as one of the quickest and bounciest in the world.

The Men in Blue will also play two practice games against a Western Australia side. The two games are likely to be played on October 10 and 12 respectively. The Indian team will fly out to Brisbane on October 13 for the two warm up games against Australia and New Zealand on October 17 & 19 respectively.

Meanwhile, the Indian players are scheduled to reach Perth on Thursday evening. They left Mumbai in the wee hours on Thursday, October 6. They first travel to Singapore and then take a connecting flight to Perth.

The Indian team is placed in Group 2 along with Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa, and two qualifiers.

The Men in Blue begin their campaign on October 23 at the MCG against arch rivals Pakistan. Thereafter, they take on Qualifier 1 at Sydney Cricket Ground on October 27 followed by South Africa on October 30 at Optus Stadium in Perth. They play their last two Super 12 games against Bangladesh on November 2 at Adelaide Oval and on November 6 against Qualifier 2 at MCG.
