Kolkata: The contract controversy of East Bengal winger Abinas Ruidas gets another significant turn as the General Secretary of the All India Football Federation Mr Kushal Das arrived at Kolkata today to discuss the matter with The IFA Secretary.
A 6 member committee has been formed by the Federation to investigate the matter concerning with Abinas Ruidas and they will sit for a meeting tomorrow. The committee will consist of members from the Disciplinary Committee, Player Status Committee and others.
The AIFF Secretary Kushal Das had a long meeting with the IFA Secretary Mr Utpal Ganguli and as he requested him not to take any decision which might harm the career of Ruidas, as the IFA too has two meetings tomorrow to decide their verdict on him. The Disciplinary Committee meeting will be followed by a Governing Body meeting at the IFA office tomorrow.
It is learnt that Mr Kushal Das would be representing the views of The IFA as well in tomorrow’s meeting at AIFF. Now it is to see what is waiting for Ruidas, the answer will be known in less than 24 hours
