XtraTime Web Desk : Nigerian legend Nwankwo Kanu finally breaks his silence on the Nigerian world cup hopes. He has issued a statement stating that the super eagles will qualify from the group stages of World Cup 2018.
Nigeria will start their world cup dream in group D alongside favourites Argentina, 2006 UEFA Euros runners up France and debutant Iceland.
Group D is not an easy group by any means with France and Argentina being the firm favourites to qualify as the top two teams. Though they are expected to qualify, football is a funny game where anything can happen.
Nigeria is also a top-notch squad lead by Salisu Yusuf as the manager. It hosts a number of top players.
With the likes of John Obi Mikel , Ighalo , Ihenacho , Victor Moses and Ahmed Musa , they are by all means a very strong side. But to meet their opponents France and Argentina they need to play together and give their 100%.
If they do so then football legend Nwankwo Kanu will not be proven wrong.
