Kolkata: Former India skipper and Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) President Sourav Ganguly today confirmed that they have no problem of hosting an International match at the Eden Gardens despite of heavy rains in the city and they are fully ready to host the second ODI match between India and Australia which will be played on September 21.

“The ground is in good shape and will be ready for the ODI. It rained a lot these few days but we have all bases covered,” Ganguly, former India captain, told reporters. Earlier, the pitch curator of Eden Gardens Sujan Mukherjee had expressed his worries on the preparations getting hampered as the heavy rain lashed the City of Joy in recent weeks.

Virat Kohli led Indian cricket team will play a five-match ODI rubber which is starting from September 17. The Men in Blue are going through a scintillating run as they beat Sri Lanka on their home soil by 9-0 across Tests, ODIs and one-off T20I.
