Xtra Time Web Desk : Mumbai Indians all rounder Kieron Pollard on Wednesday announced his retirement from international cricket with immediate effect after representing his country West Indies for a span of over 15 years.

The big Trinidadian took to his Instagram to make the announcement which said, "Hi all, after careful deliberation, I have decided to retire from international cricket. It was a dream of mine to play for West Indies since I was a 10-year-old boy and I am proud to represent the West Indies for over 15 years in T20 and ODI format of the game."

Having made his ODI debut back in 2007, Pollard won the T20 World Cup twice for his country back in 2012 and 2016 and played 101 matches in the shortest format of the game, scoring 1509 runs and picking up 44 wickets.

In the ODI format though, the former West Indies skipper's numbers have been a bit underwhelming, scoring only 2706 runs in 123 matches at an average of just over 26 and taking 55 wickets.
