Xtra Time Web Desk : Team India are scheduled to play the second Test match of the series from Friday against New Zealand in Mumbai. Although the captain Virat Kohli is coming back into the team, but there are growing concerns over the availability of Team India’s first choice wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha.

Speaking on Saha’s availability, Team India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey on Wednesday in a virtual press conference said, “The physios are in touch constantly with the head coach Rahul (Dravid) and obviously Virat (Kohli) now and as we get closer to the game, we will take a call and see what condition he is in.”

Also, lauding Saha’s fighting 61 in the second innings, Mhambrey added “But obviously with whatever he (Saha) has been through, I think (it was a) fabulous effort in the last Test match to bat in that. It was painful, we realise that but he put his hand up and (said) the team wanted it and he delivered it for the team, really happy to see that.”

With KS Bharat in fine keeping form it will be interesting to see how he can replace Wriddhi in the second test, if he isn’t declared fit to play.
