Watch: Mohammed Shami bowls at full steam at the India nets in Sydney

Xtra Time Web Desk: India’s pace spearhead Mohammed Shami’s biggest motivation is to play for the country. Shami, who will lead the Indian fast bowling against the Australians along with Jasprit Bumrah has been seen sweating at the Indian nets at the Blacktown International Sports Park in Sydney. The fast bowler from Moradabad was steaming in at the nets.

In a video posted on his twitter handle, Shami wrote, “There is no better feeling than to play for your country. A long wait to bowl in the #TeamIndia nets finally ended today! Looking forward to our Australian tour.”

Opening batsman KL Rahul was seen having a special practice given by Ravinchandran Ashwin. The off spinner was seen giving Rahul some practice with tennis ball for pull shots. Ashwin can be seen launching volleys to Rahul using a tennis racquet, and the wicket-keeper batsman is seen practicing pull shots.

It was the third day of training for the Indians since starting on Saturday with some light fitness drills. All the members of the touring party has tested negative.

India will begin their Australia tour with white ball fixtures as the One Day Internationals (ODIs) would be played on November 27, 29, and December 2 at Sydney Cricket Ground and at the Manuka Oval in Canberra respectively.

The first T20I will also be played in Canberra on December 4 and the rest two on December 6 and 8 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
