There was a discussion between Axar Patel and Rohit Sharma where to land the ball on the rough created over the previous four days. It was then Virat Kohli stepped in and shared his valuable inputs.
Virat was seen walking up to Axar and pointing out towards a certain area on the pitch asking him to land the ball precisely at that very point. Rohit who was standing next to Axar took a backseat and allowed Virat to dictate the proceedings.
Virat Kohli is regarded as one of the most successful captains of India across formats. He stepped down from test captaincy at the start of 2022.
The fourth test ended in a draw with India clinching the four-match series 2-1. The result saw India qualifying for the consecutive World Test Championship final. Rohit and his boys will face Australia in the WTC final at the Oval from June 7-11.
