Virat Kohli has special words of praise for these three support staffs in Indian team  

Xtra Time Web Desk: Star India batter Virat Kohli attributed his success to the three throwdown specialists in the team. Raghavendra, Nuwan and Dayanand works tirelessly to prepare the Indian batters at the nets. Virat, who scored a brilliant 166 not out in the third ODI against Sri Lanka at Thiruvananthapuram heaped loads of praises on the three throwdown specialists in the team. In a video interview uploaded on BCCI.tv , Virat said all three of them gives quality practice like any fast bowler who bowls at a speed of 140-145 kmph. Kohli also added that all three of them wants them to get out in the nets.

Raghavendra or better known as ‘Raghu’ in the Indian team, has been associated with the team since 2011 World Cup. He used to give throwdowns to legendary Sachin Tendulkar and became quite popular. Everyone in the team loves Raghu because of his adorable nature.

Nuwan Seneviratne was added to the Indian team in 2018 to help Indian betters combat Pakistan’s left-arm pacers, Mohammad Amir and Junaid Khan. He also worked with Sri Lankan national team for a decade as a fielding coach before 2018. BCCI has extended his contract on the request of the Indian team management as he can bowl both outswingers and inswingers in the same left arm action.

Dayanand Garani is the latest addition as a throwdown specialist. Dayanand, who hails from Bengal was associated with IPL franchise Punjab Kings. Former Indian team Head Coach Anil Kumble suggested his name to BCCI. He travelled with the team to Australia for the tour Down Under in 2020.

The three throwdown specialists do not get the spotlight as they remain behind the scenes. Words of praises from Virat Kohli will only keep RN&D of the Indian team motivated.
