Virat Kohli does this to wish Prithvi Shaw on his return after ban

XtraTime Web Desk: Mumbai cricketer Prithvi Shaw will feel grateful to Indian captain Virat Kohli for his recent gesture. Recently Virat signed a bat with a good wish for Prithvi. It read ‘Dear Prithvi, enjoy the game and good luck’ followed by his signature.

And Prithvi has valid reason to feel grateful as he has scored three fifties since his comeback from the doping ban imposed on him. The youngster has scores of 53 (27), 30 (17), 64 (39), 30 (19) and 63 (39) in the ensuing Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy since making his comeback from the doping ban.

In the final group game of the tournament between Mumbai and Punjab on Wednesday, Prithvi led Punjab to a mammoth total of 243 runs with 53 runs in just 27 balls. But what caught the attention of the fans is the bat which Prithvi used during the match. The same bat had the good luck wish from the Indian captain.

During the game, BCCI’s Domestic cricket handle tweeted a picture of Shaw’s bat, where everyone could spot an autograph of Virat Kohli along with a message.

The Indian skipper has been taking on greater leadership roles in the Indian dressing room especially after MS Dhoni’s recent sabbatical. And this was another instance where he showed he is a team man first.
