XtraTime Web Desk: India skipper Virat Kohli became the nation's most successful Test Captain after the Men in Blue thrashed West Indies by a huge margin of 257 runs in the second Test match of the series to complete a 2-0 whitewash.

The World No.1 Test side needed eight wickets on day four to seal the series and they did so after the lunch. Shami and Jadeja both took three wickets each to seal the series for India.

By dint of the win, Kohli now has 28 wins from 48 matches and overtakes his predecessor MS Dhoni who had 27 wins from 60 Test matches.

The win also means that India win the series 2-0 and marks a great start for India in the World Test Championship. India currently lead the table with 120 points.

Since Kohli was announced as the permanent captain of India Test team in 2015 India have won to win some memorable Test matches in both India and abroad. Earlier this year India won their maiden Test series in Australia, beating the hosts 2-1 in their own backyard.

Third on the list for most wins as India captain is Sourav Ganguly who has 21 wins while Mohammad Azharuddin has 14 wins and is fourth on the list.

The record for most wins in International cricket belongs to Graeme Smith, who has 53 wins, while Ricky Ponting has 48.
