Xtra Time Web Desk: Will Virat Kohli be available for the second ODI against England at Lord’s on Thursday? All is not well with the star batter as he is now facing injury concerns. Kohli, who missed the first ODI at the Oval due to a groin injury looks to be in serious doubts for the second match of the series.

With form deserting Kohli, he is now facing injury crisis. As per reports, his condition hasn’t improved and won’t be available for the 2nd match at Lord’s. Kohli was seen having a fitness test under physio Kamlesh Jain ahead of the start of the first ODI at the Oval. Kohli did some stretching exercises before running at a gingerly pace. He was also seen doing some exercises with routine ball. But he did not seem happy about as he walked back to the dressing room.

Despite being ruled out of the match, Virat Kohli came to Kennington Oval with the team. He did not take part in the warm-ups and team drills.

The injury has meant Kohli’s time is running out quickly. It is being reported that he is all set to take a break from the West Indies series. So, Kohli will have just 7-8 matches to get his form back. He will only be available for the Asia Cup and the three-match T20 series against Australia. Even if he plays all those eight matches, the form he is in, it will be difficult for him to hit the top gear at the T20 World Cup.

The ODI series was his best chance to get his form back as he excels in that format. But now that he has been ruled out of both 1st and 2nd ODIs, the time is running out.
