Xtra Time Web Desk: Young Yashasvi Jaiswal on Thursday hailed Virat Kohli as a legend and acknowledged learning invaluable lessons from the former India captain.

“It is amazing to see him bat. What can I say? He is a legend. I am blessed to play with him. There’s a lot of things to learn from him be it cricket and outside of it. I try to pick his mind,” Jaiswal said after the first day’s play of the second test match at Queens Park Oval.

Kohli looked solid on his way to 87 not out and is just 13 runs short of his 29th Test ton in his 500th international match. Yashasvi, who made a successful test debut admitted that he is privileged to share the same dressing room with Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

“Everyone has their own way to explaining things. They all have experience. I listen to all of their advice very carefully. When they are talking there are few thoughts behind it. Getting information, small other stuffs, it’s just incredible,” Jaiswal said.

“Of course, I am disappointed. It happens in cricket. I just need to keep learning and keep thinking that how i can do bettwe when I come to bat next,” Jaiswal said.

“I feel whenever I bat I try to make sure that how long I can bat and of course, there is disappointment when I get out. I need to just keep learning. I always want to do well for the team. I go out there with the same mindset. It is pleasure to go out there and play for your country.”
