Sreesanth took five wickets in Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite Group C match against UP

Xtra Time Web Desk: Santhakumaran Sreesanth took five wickets to give Kerala a stunning three wickets win over Uttar Pradesh in Vijay Hazare Trophy match on Monday. The veteran fast bowler took 5/65 as Uttar Pradesh was bowled out for 283 runs. It was the first five wickets haul for the India pacer in first class cricket since 15 years. Robin Uthappa smashed 81 runs off 55 balls and Captain Sachin Baby scored a brilliant 76 runs to take Kerala home with seven balls to spare. This was the second consecutive win for Kerala in Elite Group C of Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Sreesanth was determined to put up a good show after having failed to find a place in last week’s IPL auction. He showed he have not lost the steam which he is famous for during his hey days.

Robin Uthappa continued his good form with the bat as he scored 81 runs. The Karnataka batsman added 104 runs for the second wicket with Sanju Samson who was run out for 29 runs. Uthappa’s innings was studded with eight fours and four sixes.
