Xtra Time Web Desk: New Zealand players are in a relaxed mood ahead of the all important ICC World Test Championship final against India at the Ageas Bowl from Friday. The BlackCaps team management arranged a farewell party for the players and support staffs who are leaving back for New Zealand. BlackCaps left arm quick Neil Wagner turned as a Head chef as he prepared barbeque for his teammates. The party was also to celebrate New Zealand’s historic test series win over England at Edgbaston on Sunday.
In a video shared on social media platform twitter by BlackCaps, the likes of Trent Boult, Neil Wagner, BJ Watling, Kyle Jamieson, Daryl Mitchell can be seen enjoying a little time off.
“The perfect way to wrap the team’s first full day back in Southampton and farewell the players and support staff returning to New Zealand before the @ICC World Test Championship Final? A BBQ prepared by Head Chef @NeilWagner13 #WTC21,” the BlackCaps tweeted a video with the caption.
Both India and New Zealand had a media day in Southampton as the players were busy for their headshots by the ICC. Kane Williamson and his boys will get down to full training session on Wednesday at the Ageas Bowl.
